I ‘m a graduate of East Tennessee State University’s (ETSU) Bluegrass and Old Time Country Music Program, where I learned bluegrass from award-winning musicians such as Barry Bales (Alison Krauss and Union Station), and Ed Snodderly (The Brother Boys).

In true Appalachian spirit, I’m passionate about sharing my talents with others and helping bluegrass and roots music reach a wider audience.

Through my social media, I teach and instruct around bluegrass guitar, as well as provide other bluegrass-related content to an audience of over 45,000 followers and subscribers.
Through my experience teaching in classrooms throughout the United States, South Korea, and Vietnam, I’ve learned to instruct students in a way that makes this completed music easy to understand.
