Unwrap These Musicians’ Must Haves! Part 1

A B and G bender is a device added to a guitar that lets you change the pitch of the B and G strings by moving the guitar’s body or neck. It creates a smooth, sliding sound similar to a pedal steel guitar, often used in country and Western music, just to name a few.

Traditionally, most B-bender guitars use a device connected to the strap or strap button that pulls the strings to increase the pitch, but this usually requires a pricey installation.

Certano’s B and G bender gives you the same effect with an easy-to-install modified bridge.

I have one of these installed on my guitar, and here’s what I honestly think about it:

  • It’s a lot of fun

  • BUT, it comes with a learning curve

  • It makes my guitar look 1000% percent cooler

I’ll try to post licks on my YouTube channel as I get them down pat.

I use Paige Capos because they’re reliable, lightweight, and don’t get in the way of my playing. When I’m not using it, it stores neatly behind the nut, so I never lose it during a gig (it used to happen more often than I’d like to admit)

Seriously though, there’s a reason why a lot of the pros use them.

One of the reasons I love the D’Addario rechargeable tuner is how hassle-free it is. I don’t have to worry about swapping out batteries every few weeks—just a quick charge, and I’m good to go for a while.

My only complaint is I wish it were a tiny bit more discreet. It’s a tiny bit bulky.

For the content creators…having a solid tripod makes a huge difference in keeping your shots steady and your setup reliable, so you’re not wasting time dealing with shaky footage or constantly adjusting your gear.

I recently posted a review of this one of these puppies on my YouTube Channel. It’s great for musicians, or day-to-day pictures, selfies, etc.
